Audiovox Communications Corporation -ACC- Receives ISO-9001 Registration.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 1999--Audiovox Communications Corporation (ACC) a leading marketer of cellular telephones, today announced that it has received ISO-9001 registration from TUV Essen. The registration was issued on February 23, 1999. ACC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corporation (AMEX: VOX).

Philip Christopher, President and CEO of ACC, stated, "All of our employees have worked diligently to attain ISO-9001 registration and we are pleased TUV Essen has recognized our achievements. Approximately 75-80 percent of our business derives from agreements with several of the major service providers around the world and with ISO-9001 registration, we believe the opportunity to partner with new providers, who prefer their manufacturers and distributors be certified, is high. Since the ISO-9000 series has become an internationally recognized common language for quality, being registered to ISO-9001 will help ACC facilitate partnerships with telecommunications providers worldwide."

On January 21, 1999, Audiovox Corporation announced that its Electronics Division had received QS-9000 and ISO-9001 registration from TUV Essen. The registration was issued on December 23, 1998.
