Audiovox Communications Corporation -ACC- Receives ISO-9001 Registration.


HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 1999--Audiovox Communications Corporation (ACC See adaptive cruise control. ) a leading marketer of cellular telephones, today announced that it has received ISO- iso- or is-

9001 registration from TUV (Technischer Überwachungs-Verein) Literally "Technical Watch-Over Association." A German certifying body involved with product safety for the European community.  Essen. The registration was issued on February 23, 1999. ACC is a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary

On January 21, 1999, Audiovox Corporation announced that its Electronics Division had received QS-9000 and ISO-9001 registration from TUV Essen. The registration was issued on December 23, 1998.

Commenting on the announcement, John Shalam, Chairman and CEO of Audiovox Corporation stated, "Both of our selling divisions are now registered, marking a significant achievement for our Company and our shareholders. We have experienced strong growth in the domestic markets and believe with these new registrations and the many products scheduled for introduction, as well as a healthy balance sheet, 1999 will prove to be a prosperous year for Audiovox Corporation."

Audiovox Corporation is an international leader in the marketing of cellular telephones, auto sound, vehicle security, mobile video systems, and consumer electronics products. The Company conducts its business through two separate marketing groups and markets its products both domestically and internationally under its own brands as well as functioning as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it.
