Audio and Video Cables with the BluRay Players

For home theater systems the BluRay high definition DVD player is the top of the line and the most advanced player for the home. As the players transitioned from standard to high def screen quality there arose a requirement for better cables to carry this uncompressed digital signal. The standard connctions that have always been around are now obsolete due to their limited capabilities. What has become standard now is High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cables, fiber optic and multi channel products, these can handle the high def stream of media.

What has become standard now is High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cables, fiber optic and multi channel products, these can handle the high def stream of media.

Audio cables transmit sound data from its source to the television, monitor or receiver and out of a speaker. Aside from the preferred HDMI cables, the RCA cable - Multi-channel Analog - offers the best quality. Though even this format is quickly proving dated, its quality exceeds that of the standard coaxial optic link used in the past. For digital audio clarity and detail there is no substitute for the HDMI products. The HDMI cables have capabilities to transmit from all sorts of units with effective digital audio. These cables can be used to enhance the effects of a BluRay player's audio technology. Surround sound through a BluRay player can exceed that of a cinema when acoustically accommodated. The area in which a BluRay is being viewed and heard can have as much of an impact on the experience as the monitor or screen and speakers.

You always have to have some video cables to carry that beautiful high quality signal to the screen from the BluRay player. And similar to the audio cables, the HDMI cable is the best at carrying these high def signals. It's also really a nice feature that there is the one plug at the ends of the cable which is the combination of multiple cables.

Component cables sometimes are in the race to see who's best when transmitting audio and video signals. Usually when you do have a transmission from analog to digital there is a slight loss of signal, and this can create issues with the audio and video quality. So these cables can transmit similar quality to HDMI but with variances a possibility that creates a possible quality fluctuation.

The BluRay player offers the clearest picture and sound for a home theater as long as the audio and visual cables can maximize its potential. Using HDMI or component cables delivers uncompressed digital streams to yield a top shelf viewing experience. Refrain from using inferior or obsolete connections with a BluRay unit to ensure the quality represented on screen isn't misinterpreted as a shortcoming of the player.
