Audio Ease and Prosoniq Sign On as Sonic HDSP Plug-In Partners; Companies Join Sonic Solutions in Exclusive Alliance to Develop High-Density and Surround Audio Tools.

Working with Sonic Solutions, the HDSP Partners are designing specialized software for the Sonic HDSP Plug-in Processor that extend its capabilities in a wide range of audio applications.

Advanced HDSP Plug-in Processor

Sonic's new HDSP Plug-in Processor has been specifically designed to deliver multi-channel, 24-bit, 96 kHz and 192 kHz High-Density Audio and to provide audio engineers in CD and DVD premastering with a tool that allows them to master for the next generation of digital audio delivery. With the most distinguished leaders in professional audio tools joining Sonic in its HDSP Plug-in Partnership, SonicStudio HD delivers the widest range of tools and plug-in processing capabilities for mastering these new formats.

The Sonic HDSP Plug-in Processor utilizes an advanced HDSP array architecture to deliver the fastest and most flexible hardware platform available. With four, parallel-patched 80 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  24-bit 56301 DSP (1) (Digital Signal Processor) A special-purpose CPU used for digital signal processing applications (see definition #2 below).
