BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 18, 1998--Audio Book Club, Inc. (AMEX: KLB), today announced that recently acquired Radio Spirits, Inc., believed to be the world's largest distributor of old-time radio programs, is generating record sales and earnings.

Radio Spirits, Inc., which in 1996 and 1997 was listed as one of Inc. Magazine's 500 fastest growing privately held companies, has seen year-to-date 1998 sales increase over 60% and profits increase over 475% as compared to 1997.

The Company noted that its products are available through the Internet at www.radiospirits.com, mail-order and through retail chains such as Costco, Sam's Club and Best Buy.
