 today announced that the companies have entered into an agreement to deliver exclusive audio programming to Mac users and customers of audible.com's award-winning audio information and entertainment service.

Mac Publishing's Macworld magazine, Macworld.com, and MacCentral.com will promote and co-market Audible.com's audio service and Audible will promote Macworld magazine and audio programming to their respective customer bases.

The companies will shortly launch an exclusive weekly audio program from the editors of Mac Publishing's leading publications and Web sites. The programming will be available free to regular subscribers to audible.com's award-winning monthly membership program,

AudibleListener(TM), and available for sale to any Mac user via audible.com's 34,000-hour library of spoken word programming. Mac Publishing, LLC will promote AudibleListener to Macworld magazine subscribers and visitors to Macworld.com and MacCentral.com.

New audible.com subscribers who use Apple's iPod digital music player Hardware or software that plays audio files encoded in MP3, AAC, WMA or other audio formats. There are several software-based music players that play audio files in a desktop or laptop computer, including iTunes, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player.  or iTunes desktop digital music software will receive a free 6-month subscription to Macworld magazine or a 6-month extension to a current subscription, as well as free Audible programs from RobinWilliams@audible.com, Neal Stephenson's "Snow Crash" and free blank CD-Rs.
