Audible.com and Harlequin Announce the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan.

The Leader in Spoken Audio and the World's Leading Publisher of Series Romance Fiction Announce an Exclusive Monthly Romance Subscription

NEWARK, N.J. -- Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBL, www.audible.com), the leader in spoken audio entertainment, information, and educational programming on the Internet, and Harlequin Enterprises Limited (www.eHarlequin.com), the world's leading publisher of series romance and women's fiction, today announced the launch of the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan, available exclusively at www.audible.com/harlequin.

Romance fans will now be able to sign up for a subscription membership to the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan, providing them with two new red-hot romances from the Harlequin Blaze[TM] imprint each month. This is a first in the audio marketplace, and at just 9.95 a month, the subscription price rivals that of the print editions. Membership in the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan also provides access to more than 180 Harlequin audiobooks, produced by and available exclusively through Audible, as well as access to sales on other romance titles and over 140,000 hours of additional programs available at Audible.com.

The launch of the recurrent membership plan introduces a new way to deliver Harlequin audiobooks and the first time Audible has created a branded subscription plan for a publisher of print books. As an added bonus, Audible is offering a top-of-the-line MP3 player, the Creative Zen V, for just $29.99 - $50 less than the retail price - for customers who become annual members of the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan.

"Harlequin understands and embraces romance fans around the world in a manner that is unrivaled in publishing," said Beth Anderson, SVP and Publisher, Audible Inc. "We are elated to extend our exclusive partnership with Harlequin by offering their millions of devoted fans such a great new way to get two new books every month."

"Audible - the foremost source for spoken audio on the Internet - is a key partner in our strategy to provide Harlequin stories to customers in the format they desire. Audio is a great way for women to read more while juggling a busy life and stretch their reading time. We're very excited about the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan, it provides customers with exceptional value and convenience," said Brent Lewis, Director Internet & Digital, Harlequin Enterprises Ltd.

As members of the Harlequin AudibleListener Plan, Harlequin readers can now experience their favorite romances in a rich spoken-word format created exclusively by Audible and easily downloaded to PCs, Macs, or any one of more than hundreds of AudibleReady[R] handheld devices and smartphones.
