Audible, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADBL ADBL Agricultural Development Bank Limited (Nepal) ) and Diamond Multimedia, a subsidiary of S3 Inc. (Nasdaq: SIII), today announced Rio 500 digital audio players will be able to store and play back approximately 28 hours of spoken audio downloaded from audible.com(TM) in February 2000. This also means Rio 500 owners can easily access more than 20,000 hours of programming from audible.com(TM), the leading source for Internet-delivered premium spoken audio for playback on PCs and AudibleReady(TM) mobile devices.

The Rio 500 will become the first digital audio device to play both Audible spoken word audio and MP3 music files. Previously shipped Rio 500 players can become AudibleReady(TM) via a free download, available at www.audible.com(TM) or from www.diamondmm.com.

Rio 500 users can select from a number of free audio titles, demonstrating the quality and breadth of selection at audible.com(TM). Additionally, customers will be able to download audio to their devices from audible.com(TM) on-demand or automatically via a subscription service that will load audio into the Rio 500 on a recurrent schedule.
