Audible and Los Angeles Times to Create Exclusive Internet Audio Edition of the Times; National and Entertainment News, Local Southern California Content to be Featured.


WAYNE, N.J. & LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999 --

Audible, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADBL ADBL Agricultural Development Bank Limited (Nepal) ) and the Los Angeles Times Los Angeles Times

Morning daily newspaper. Established in 1881, it was purchased and incorporated in 1884 by Harrison Gray Otis (1837–1917) under The Times-Mirror Co. (the hyphen was later dropped from the name).
, the nation's largest metropolitan daily newspaper, have agreed to develop a daily audio digest featuring The Times regional, state, national and international news. The digest will be available exclusively through Audible's Web site, www.audible.com, beginning December 20, 1999.

The Audible Los Angeles Times will be available at the site, where audio files can be downloaded directly to a listener's personal computer for desktop listening or to an AudibleReady(tm) digital audio device -- such as the Diamond Rio This article is about the american country band. Content for the Southern California edition, which is a new regional content venture for Audible, will be gathered from the daily and Sunday Times. This edition will be tailored for Los Angeles-area commuters and available in early 2000.

The Audible Los Angeles Times will be offered on a subscription and individual story basis. Some of the newspaper's news and entertainment stories will also be bundled with other audio programs that could include content from other major newspapers.
