Audible Partners with chapters.indigo.ca in Canadian Audiobooks Download Feature; First Audible Boutique Also Provides Attractive Cash-Back Promotion On Apple iPods.

(TSX: IDG), Canada's largest book retailer, today announced that Audible's download service for audiobooks and other valuable spoken word programs is now available on chapters.indigo.ca, the Company's e-commerce site. Visitors to chapters.indigo.ca can now shop, download, and listen to best-selling audiobooks, periodicals, radio programs, language learning, and all of audible.com's 55,000 hours of valuable spoken word audio.

The "Listen to an Excerpt" feature on chapters.indigo.ca gives shoppers the ability to first sample a portion of the audiobook free of charge, then download and transfer Audible's audiobooks and other spoken word titles for listening on AudibleReady(R) MP3 players, personal digital assistants, or smart wireless devices. Listeners are able to supplement their reading time by listening to audio versions of print works when they cannot otherwise read, such a when working out or commuting to work.

The Audible feature is promoted on the homepage and integrated within the book-related navigation throughout chapters.indigo.ca. Audible maintains customer accounts, delivers the AudibleManager(R) software to new users, and serves audio downloads to listeners. Through this partnership Indigo Books & Music Inc. offers a service to Canadian booklovers shopping online this holiday season, while Audible benefits from a new channel with which to acquire customers.

In addition, Audible is introducing a rebate program to customers at select Indigo and Chapters retail stores and online which offers $125 CAD cash-back on any iPods or other AudibleReady devices with a 12-month commitment to an AudibleListener(R) membership. The membership consists of any 2 audiobooks from Audible's inventory of more then 6,000 titles for $26.50 CAD per month, or 1 audiobook and 1 one-month subscription from Audible's Subscription Center for $18.50 CAD per month.
