Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBL) announced today the addition of flagship National Public Radio(R) (NPR(R)) programs Morning Edition(R), All Things Considered(R) and Talk of the Nation(R) to its existing base of public radio programs. Audible is the leading provider of Internet-delivered spoken audio (www.audible.com) for PC-based listening or mobile playback on AudibleReady(R) portable digital audio players.

The series of launches this month means that listeners will find 16 popular radio shows and audio from several award-winning radio documentarians, the most comprehensive collection of current and archived public radio programming for digital download or desktop streaming. Audible's public radio content is offered in multiple audio formats, or codecs, that allow the listener to choose both sound fidelity and digital audio file size. Listeners are able to control when and where they listen to leading public radio shows, even after a program's local broadcast.

Audible.com is also offering the largest archive of work by documentary radio producers David Isay, Jay Allison, Joe Richman and Tony Kahn, who are frequent contributors to NPR's news magazines.

Additional programs include Only A Game and The Connection from WBUR in Boston. Only A Game, a weekly one-hour radio sports magazine, features nationally recognized author and veteran NPR commentator Bill Littlefield. With former New York Times reporter Christopher Lydon as host, The Connection is a daily talk show taking a deeper look at the day's headlines.

On the lighter side, Says You! from WGBH in Boston offers a weekly half-hour of wit and word play, contested by two teams of celebrity panelists who compete in front of a live audience.

Audio documentarian David Isay, recently awarded a prestigious MacArthur Foundation "genius grant," has added to the audible.com library his Sound Portraits Productions titles. Joining The Jewish Giant, which has been available at audible.com since October 1999, are The Sunshine Hotel, Remembering Stonewall, Remorse, and Ghetto Life 101, which won a Peabody Award, Livingston Award and Prix d'Italia, among others.

Jay Allison Productions, winner of two George Foster Peabody Medals, the most important broadcasting award for public service, has provided a number of first-person portraits and essays depicting ordinary citizens, often outside of urban areas, speaking in their own voices. Allison's productions include, among others: Call Me Madame Esme; I Am Just Who We Are: A Portrait of Multiple Personality Disorder; Animals and Other Stories, and selections from his ongoing Life Stories series as heard on NPR's All Things Considered.

Joe Richman's Radio Diaries Inc., winner of the RFK and Casey Journalism Awards, has supplied programs from Richman's powerful Teenage Diaries series and Radio Diaries series, including The Last Place: Diary of a Retirement Home and The Last Civil War Widows.

Tony Kahn's Blacklisted series is a first-person account of his father, Gordon Kahn's, experience as a blacklisted writer during Senator Joseph McCarthy's House Un-American Activities Committee hearings during the 1950s. The series received the Gold Medal and Best Documentary Awards of the New York International Radio and Television Festival. Kahn is special correspondent and co-host of Public Radio International's The World.
