Auburn University Receives Million Dollar Software and Services Donation; Chainalytics and i2 Technologies Jointly Assist in Bringing Supply Chain Strategy Education to the University.

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn University announced today a donation of software, training and education services from i2 Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: ITWO) and Chainalytics LLC to the logistics program in the College of Business.

The million dollar software and service donation comes after an exhaustive search for a technology partner that included discussions with industry experts and extensive literature reviews.

The faculty in the logistics program identified i2's Supply Chain Strategist as a leading planning tool that it believes will help fulfill the strategic vision of the program. The gift of the i2 software is complemented by Chainalytics' contribution of services to support installation, training and curriculum development.

"The i2 technology will be a key ingredient connecting classroom experience to actual practice," said Paul Bobrowski, dean of the College of Business. "The value to our students will ultimately be reflected with the impact that they are able to make in the workplace."

Auburn University alumnus and Chainalytics President and CEO Mike Kilgore was instrumental in bringing together Auburn University and i2 to make this donation a reality.

Nearly 100 undergraduates complete the undergraduate major in logistics each year and the MBA concentration in supply chain management is now available to on-campus and distance learning students. These progressive programs provide an effective mix of theory and application, helping students prepare for the transition from classroom to workplace with leading manufacturers, 3PL and transportation firms, retailers, and consulting firms. The programs reside in the Department of Aviation Management and Logistics.
