Aubrey Organics becomes first cosmetic company to receive "Certified Organic" status; Pioneering natural cosmetics firm praised for 100% herbal content.


TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1994--Aubrey Organics, America's first 100% natural cosmetics company, has become the very first cosmetics producer to receive the status of certified organic processor by Quality Assurance International.

The organic certification Organic certification is a certification process for producers of organic food and other organic agricultural products. In general, any business directly involved in food production can be certified, including seed suppliers, farmers, food processors, retailers and restaurants.  states that Aubrey Organics' processing facility is compatible with certified organic standards.

"This organic certification means that our audit trail is such that any shipment of any raw ingredient can be traced from its arrival at our company to the finished product on the shelf," explains Dr. Aubrey Hampton, chairman and founder of Aubrey Organics. "We've never used chemicals in the manufacturing process."
