Au Martinique Silver Inc. Expands El Salvador Gold-Silver Land Holdings As A Result of 2005 Exploration Results.

BRAMPTON, Ontario -- Paul Pitman, President of Au Martinique Martinique (märtĭnēk`), overseas department and administrative region of France (2005 est. pop. 433,000), 425 sq mi (1,101 sq km), in the Windward Islands, West Indies. Fort-de-France is the capital. The department and the island of Martinique are coextensive. Silver Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AUU AUU - Adelaide University Union) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Ojo Blanco exploration license, located northeast and contiguous with the Cerro Petancol license in the Department of Chalatenango, north-central El Salvador (Figure 1).Both licenses will be explored within the framework of the Joint Venture between Au Martinique Silver and Intrepid Minerals Corp. The new license, measuring 49 km2, was granted by the Salvadoran Government in May, 2005 and is valid for a period of four years. The license can be extended for an additional 4 years.

The license area was selected following AUU's integrated exploration program (see AUU News Release #2006-02, 6 Feb. 2006) within the adjacent Cerro Petancol license, where reconnaissance mapping and sampling, stream sediment sampling and an airborne magnetic survey all pointed the Martinique/Intrepid team toward the newly acquired Ojo Blanco area.

Stream Sediment Survey Defines Broad Area of Enriched Gold

In June 2005, a stream sediment survey was conducted over the entire Ojo Blanco License. Analytical results revealed an area of strong gold enrichment (up to 3 ppm) in the stream sediments covering about 15 km2 of the license (Figure 2). Several pathfinder elements, including arsenic, mercury and molybdenum flank the gold anomaly and in conjunction with extensive hydrothermal alteration, indicate that the prospective area may extend well beyond the limits of the stream-sediment gold anomaly.

All stream sediment samples were assayed at CAS Laboratories of Honduras utilizing standard AA/fire assay finish and gravimetric check assays on samples containing greater than 1 g/t gold. Pulps were sent to Acme Labs of Vancouver for a thirty six element ICP-MS analytical package.

Au Martinique Silver Initiates Good Neighbor Program

We believe that as a junior exploration company, there are several ways to add value to our company for its shareholders: First and foremost, our management is seeking the highest quality exploration properties by employing highly experienced geologists in Latin America and elsewhere, with a focus on epithermal gold-silver systems. Secondly, we are constantly monitoring and evaluating the many layers of risk that confront the exploration industry working overseas in a different cultural setting. Thirdly, our management must ensure that our successes are developed within a framework of environmental compliance and community alliances. AUU is committed to become a global leader among exploration juniors on community initiatives.

As an outgrowth of this principal AUU has maintained a field office and accommodations since the initiation of field activities in El Salvador in the Pueblo of Potonico, located in the southern part of the Cerro Petancol License. In order to support and maintain excellent communication with the local community, the majority of AUU's contract workers have been from Potonico. These workers have gained useful skills and experience, and are key to the successful exploration programs carried out by the Company. Our program has benefited tremendously from the quality of the local workers and the support received from the local communities. We will continue to partner with these communities in developing a long-term and sustainable economic framework for the region.

We recognize that it is in the best interest of all stakeholders that mineral development projects proceed from their onset within the framework of mutual trust and cooperation with local communities. Our first community effort will be to donate and install mosquito control equipment with the Potonico Health Department. AUU will explore other ways to support the community through consultation with local authorities and contributing to social programs. Mr. Pitman believes that "the sharing of responsibilities with local leaders will ensure that AUU's initiatives will remain relevant to the community and that the Company's reputation will prove exemplary to the mining world".AUU has opened up dialogue with NGOs involved in the area, as well as with leaders of the Roman Catholic Church to provide a clear understanding of our future exploration activities.

Au Martinique Silver Inc. is a TSX Venture listed company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral prospects. The Company has 18,912,550 common shares outstanding.
