Atvantec announces it will offer electronic records management (e-Records) solutions through their Information Lifecycle Management Information Lifecycle Management refers to a wide-ranging set of strategies for administering storage systems on computing devices. Specifically, four categories of storage strategies may be considered under the auspices of ILM.  (ILM) practice.

The new e-Records service will feature "purpose-built" e-Records applications including records declaration, classification, and structured retention and disposition scheduling capabilities. Tarian's e-Records engine technology is compliant with the DoD 5015.2-STD standard for electronic records management as endorsed by the National Archives National Archives, official depository for records of the U.S. federal government, established in 1934 by an act of Congress. It can be accessed by Web browsers, the Exchange client, versions of Outlook and the earlier Windows Inbox. , Lotus Notes, Windows NT, Oracle, or SQL SQL
