BETHESDA, Md. & PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2000

Atvantec, the newly formed subsidiary of Global Management Systems, Inc. (GMSI GMSI Global Management Systems, Inc.
GMSI Geographic Marketing Solutions, Inc.
GMSI Grand Master of the Order of the Star of India
), a top provider of world-class network and systems integration solutions, proudly announces the release and unveiling of "UNI-Profile" at Hummingbird's PowerSummit2000 October 23 -25, 2000.

UNI-Profile is an innovative product that provides a single user interface that serves as the front-end profile for DOCS Open and other add-on applications such as CompInfo's LawPack. UNI-Profile provides the capability to configure one profile that will interface with integrated client server applications that have an RDBMS (Relational DataBase Management System) See relational database and DBMS.

RDBMS - relational database
back end and -COM, DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) Formerly Network OLE, it is Microsoft's technology for distributed objects. DCOM is based on COM, Microsoft's component software architecture, which defines the object interfaces. , or COM (1) (Computer Output Microfilm) Creating microfilm or microfiche from the computer. A COM machine receives print-image output from the computer either online or via tape or disk and creates a film image of each page.  +, "n" tiered applications.

UNI-Profile provides DOCS Open and LawPack users with a single point of entry and reduces the amount of time spent entering duplicate information in multiple profiles.

UNI-Profile also provides database designers and system integrators with a configurable front end for integrating and developing applications for DOCS Open. System Integrators only have to design the database and build the LawPack reports, UNI-Profile will handle all of the data entry and data validation In computer science, data validation is the process of ensuring that a program operates on clean, correct and useful data. It uses routines, often called validation rules, that check for correctness or meaningfulness of data that are input to the system. .

UNI-Profile is designed so that any modifications or enhancements to the system can be fully realized in UNI-Profile.

UNI-Profile also provides integration for the Web. Web-Based applications use the same meta data as the standard client. UNI-Profile dynamically generates HTML HTML

forms and client based form validation. UNI-Profile also provides integration with DOCS Fusion out of the box. This is a great solution for integrating additional applications with CyberDOCS servers.

UNI-Profile is currently available with all of the tools necessary to provide a single user interface to DOCS Open profiles and CompInfo's Lawpack. Atvantec can provide a turnkey solution or provide the means to integrate standard Lawpack installations with UNI-Profile.

Forms design tools are currently in development and should be released by First Quarter 2001. With these tools systems integrators and database designers will be able to easily integrate DOCS Open with any other application. Need a solution now? Atvantec has skilled developers and engineers to provide you with the tools needed to provide the UNI-Profile solution.
