Attraction set to line up in Cherry Hinton; Filly `in unbelievable form' and ready for step up to six furlongs.

Byline: LEE MOTTERSHEAD and TONY ELVES

ATTRACTION is poised to make a

surprise appearance at Newmarket on Tuesday after being reported "in unbelievable form" following her runaway

victory in the Queen Mary Stakes The Queen Mary Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for two-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run over a distance of 5 furlongs (1,006 metres) at Ascot Racecourse during the Royal Ascot meeting in June. .

A three-length winner of the Royal

Ascot fillies' sprint, Attraction had been earmarked for either the Nunthorpe Stakes or Prix Robert Papin The Prix Robert Papin is a Group 2 flat horse race in France for two-year-old thoroughbreds (excluding geldings). It is run over a distance of 1,100 metres (approximately 5½ furlongs) at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse in July. .

However, trainer Mark Johnston

yesterday issued an upbeat bulletin about the unbeaten filly and suggested a first attempt at six furlongs was more than likely in the Chippenham Stud Cherry Hinton Stakes The Cherry Hinton Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for two-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres) on the July Course at Newmarket Racecourse in early July. .

"After Ascot, we were talking about staying over five furlongs for the Robert Papin or Nunthorpe, but I don't think I've ever had a horse come out of a Group race so well," said Johnston yesterday.

"Normally, you'd give a horse like

Attraction a break after Ascot but she is so fresh, it's beyond belief. She's in

unbelievable form at the moment and you may well see her at Newmarket."

Johnston, who intends to discuss plans with the filly's owner, the Duke of Roxburghe

, before confirming Attraction's participation, is also set to be represented in the Cherry Hinton by Venetian Pride, an impressive winner at Hamilton on her racecourse debut.

Like Johnston, David Loder could be doubly represented in the Group 2 contest after recent winners Pearl Grey and Rosehearty figured among a 13-strong

entry yesterday.

While Rosehearty's biggest claim to fame so far has been a Catterick maiden victory, Pearl Grey has already established herself at a higher level,

having landed the Listed

Empress Stakes over the Cherry Hinton course and distance six days ago.

The Gone West filly, whose Empress victims Voile,

Valjarv and Menhoubah could all reoppose on Tuesday, was yesterday declared a probable runner by Loder, who has

pencilled in Frankie Dettori for the mount, with Jamie Spencer set to partner Rosehearty.

Loder said: "Pearl Grey has come out of the race very well and I am pleased with Rosehearty after her win at Catterick. They are both likely to run in the Cherry Hinton."

Both Byron and Howick Falls could race for Loder in Wednesday's TNT July Stakes, while Goodwood maiden

winner Bayeux is likely to turn out on Thursday in the Weatherbys Superlative Stakes.

Loder's other possible

runner at the meeting is the unraced Singspiel Singspiel: see opera.
