Attorney Representing Parking Ticket Recipients Says Schell's Proposal Falls Short; Steve Berman Notes That Thousands Paid Fines Based On Bogus Meters.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--

Steve Berman is an American writer, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and now living in New Jersey.
 says the move is in the right direction, but falls short.

Steve Berman is the Seattle attorney who filed suit on behalf of motorists errantly ticketed due to inaccurate parking meters.

"We are glad to hear that the city is stepping up to the plate and fixing the defective defective adj. not being capable of fulfilling its function, ranging from a deed of land to a piece of equipment. Berman said the mayor's move does mean that Berman will not ask the court to take immediate action, such as declaring new parking meter violations invalid Null; void; without force or effect; lacking in authority.
