Attest's GASP PC Auditing Software Licensed by SPA for Anti-Piracy Actions.


SAN RAFAEL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 26, 1996--GASP(r), a PC asset tracking auditing tool developed by Attest To solemnly declare verbally or in writing that a particular document or testimony about an event is a true and accurate representation of the facts; to bear witness to. GASP was built to dramatically reduce the time and effort needed to inventory the software and hardware on each computer, and to serve as legal evidence in a court of law. It currently can recognize over 6,000 software programs and it is continually updated as new programs and versions are released. GASP runs on stand-alone and networked PCs and Apple Macintosh Apple Macintosh - Macintosh  computers.

To handle upwards of 1,000 calls monthly, the SPA required an efficient software program that produces accurate and easy-to- comprehend reports. "With GASP, we are able to deliver on all counts," said Herbert M. Gottlieb, president and chief executive officer of Attest Systems and a nationwide expert in software auditing who leads training courses for the SPA.
