The complaint alleges that McKesson and certain of its top officers violated the federal securities laws by issuing false and misleading statements regarding McKesson's business, earnings growth, financial stability and its ability to continue to achieve profitability. The complaint alleges that defendants artificially inflated McKesson's stock price to a Class Period high of $89-3/4 by issuing these false and misleading statements. However, when defendants released the true facts surrounding McKesson's troubled operations, diminished profitability and false financial statements, McKesson's stock plunged to as low as $32 per share. Plaintiffs seek to recover damages on behalf of all those who purchased or otherwise acquired McKesson stock during the Class Period.
