Attention CFMPs: get continuing education credit for writing.

Marketers who write features in ABA Bank Marketing magazine are eligible to receive continuing education credits toward their CFMP designation.

The credits are issued by the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB). Credit, which will be awarded after the article is published, is based on the time it takes the author to research and write the article. Credit will be awarded based on a 50-minute credit hour and may not exceed one-third of the cyclical requirement for the certification.

Marketers interested in contributing an article to the magazine should first read the Contributors Guide, which is posted on the magazine's website (www.aba.com/bankmarketing). Next, they should prepare a brief article proposal and submit it to Walt Albro, Editor, ABA Bank Marketing magazine 1120 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036-3971. E-mail: walbr0@aba.com.

If you have any questions about how to submit an article proposal, telephone the editor at (800) BANKERS, ext. 5428.

Should you have any questions about continuing education credit, please contact ICB's Continuing Education Manager at (800) BANKERS, ext. 5377 or at icb@aba.com.
