Attempted pub raids are linked.

POLICE believe two burglary bids at the same pub are connected.

In each raid on the White Horse on Scholes Road at Jackson Bridge Jackson Bridge is a small village in the Holme Valley within the postal disctrict of Holmfirth. It is situated next to the A616, Huddersfield to Penistone, road.

Dobroyd Mills, which dominates the village, was once a major contributor to the West Yorkshire textile industry,
 the would-be thieves fled empty-handed.

The first burglary happened early on Monday, October 15.

Intruders got into the pub through the roof and stacked several items on the roof, ready to carry away.

But then they ran off and left them.

The second bid was early on Sunday morning, when would-be thieves forced a door. They are again thought to have been disturbed and run off.
