Attackers called me a 'white bastard' then they dragged Kriss into back of a Mercedes; FRIEND TELLS OF DESPERATE RESCUE BID.

A PAL of tragic Kriss Donald Kriss Donald (4 July 1988 – 16 March 2004) was a Scottish fifteen-year-old who was kidnapped and murdered in Glasgow in 2004. Five British Asian men were later found guilty of racially-motivated violence; those convicted of murder were all sentenced to life imprisonment.  told a murder trial yesterday how he tried desperately to stop the teenager being bundled into a car.

Jamie Wallace, 20, claimed the alleged abductors called him a "white b*****d" and told him "you're next" as 15-year-old Kriss Donald was dragged into the Mercedes.

He said he scuffled with some of the gang and tried to deflect attention from Kriss by taunting one of them, known only as X for legal reasons.

But X instead turned to punch Kriss in the head as he was being pulled into the car, Mr Wallace told the High Court in Glasgow.

He described how he and Kriss had been walking along a street in Pollokshields, Glasgow, when five people surrounded them.

Mr Wallace said: "I was trying to trying to fight them off because I was trying to save my friend, Kriss."

The court has heard that Kriss was found dead on the Clyde Walkway Coordinates:

The Clyde Walkway is a 40 mile [65 kilometre] foot and mountain bike path which runs from the centre of Glasgow, Scotland, to just above the UNESCO World
, near Celtic's training ground in the east end of Glasgow.

It's alleged that Kriss was driven to Strathclyde Park Strathclyde Country Park is a country park located in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire and Motherwell, Scotland.

The park covers some 4 km², centred on the artificial Strathclyde Loch. It is located next to the River Clyde between Hamilton and Motherwell.
, Motherwell, Dundee, and then to the Clyde Walkway where he was repeatedly stabbed to death and burned.

The Crown claims it was a racially aggravated crime.

Daanish Zahid, 20, denies that, acting along with others, he abducted Kriss on March 15. Zahid has lodged a special defence incriminating two other persons who for legal reasons can only be called X and Z.

The court also heard that Kriss's body was found by a car salesman cycling at 7am to work in Rutherglen.

Gary Neil Gary Derek Campbell Neil (born August 16, 1978) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He was born in Glasgow and played professionally for Torquay United.

Neil, a utility player, began his career as an apprentice at Leicester City, turning professional in August
 said he saw what he thought was a dead pig lying on the Clyde walkway near the Celtic training ground.

He cycled back to find it was in fact the body of a young man.

The jury also heard how student David Dickson David Dickson may refer to

  • David Dickson (swimmer) (born 1941), triple bronze-medal-winning Olympic swimmer from Australia, who competed in the 1960s
, 30, heard an explosion near his home in the city's West End the night Kriss disappeared.

It was a Mercedes car going up in flames, the car the Crown alleges was used in the abduction.

Firefighter Malcolm Dippie, 30, said he believed the car had been deliberately torched.
