Attack is best form of defence for Reds; We can't afford to sit back in Anfield clash.Byline: IAN RUSH Please [ improve this article] by rewriting this article or section in an . LIVERPOOL are in a great position to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League - but they must not fall into the trap of sitting back in tonight's second leg at Anfield. The 1-0 victory in the Bernabeu has undoubtedly put the Reds in control of the tie but there is a lot of hard work still to be done. The danger when you go into a game with this kind of advantage is that you try to hold on to what you've got and play defensively. However, with the quality of players Real Madrid have got that tactic would be far too dangerous. It's vital that Liverpool are positive and if we take the game to Real then it will really get the crowd going. European nights are always great occasions at Anfield but the fact that this will be the first time Real have played here makes it extra special. I'm hoping the Kop will give them a typical Liverpool welcome and I'm sure it will be unlike anything Real's players have ever experienced before. It has frightened the lives out of Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan in recent years and the fans will have a key role to play once again tonight. The atmosphere will be amazing a·maze v. a·mazed, a·maz·ing, a·maz·es v.tr. 1. To affect with great wonder; astonish. See Synonyms at surprise. 2. Obsolete To bewilder; perplex. v.intr. before kick-off but we have to keep that going throughout the 90 minutes. One way to achieve that is for the Reds to attack from the start. I'm not talking about taking risks, just showing the desire to get forward and put the Spaniards under pressure. The first 20 minutes are vital and if we can get a few shots in then it will give the fans something to shout about and put Real firmly on the back foot. Real have to score and the longer the game goes on they will have to commit more players forward. I know Raul is getting on a bit but he remains a threat. He has a knack of scoring goals and we've got to keep a close eye on him. Under Bernd Schuster Bernd Schuster (born December 22, 1959 in Augsburg) is a German football coach and former player. During his heyday as a player Schuster and his wife, Gaby, were well known celebrities in Germany, and were both loved and hated. Real were playing as individuals and were letting in a lot of goals. Since Juande Ramos Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano, more commonly known as Juande Ramos, (born 25 September 1954 in Pedro Muñoz,Ciudad Real, Spain) is a football manager, currently in charge of La Liga side Sevilla FC. has taken over they have been a lot more organised and they have been playing more as a team. Liverpool will start as favourites tonight but it would be wrong to under estimate Madrid. However, with the famous 12th man behind them I fancy the Reds to get the job done. What do you think?
