BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1996--Attachmate(r) Corp. today announced KEA!(tm) 700/98 version 4.3, the industry's most flexible, most powerful, and best value PC-to-HP host access solution.

KEA! gives corporations intuitive, managed access to corporate information on HP 3000 and HP 9000 systems from the Windows(r), Windows 95, and Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). Available in separate client and server versions, it includes built-in networking and preemptive multitasking. (r) platforms. The product makes HP host applications as easy to use as Windows applications, including use of custom menus, dialog boxes, and icon-launching of HP applications from any Windows platform.

KEA! 700/98 includes support for VT420 and HP 700/98 -- the highest superset A group of commands or functions that exceed the capabilities of the original specification. Software or hardware components designed for the original specification will also operate with the superset product. KEA! includes 16-bit HP host access for Windows workstations as well as 32-bit access for Windows 95 and Windows NT platforms: including Intel, Digital Alpha, MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second) The execution speed of a computer. KEA! 700/98 v4.3 will be available in September 1996 through Attachmate's Open System Medallion program resellers, direct from Attachmate, and through national software resellers. The product carries a list price of $395 US. Users of any competitive software can trade up to KEA! 700/98 for $99 US per license. Attachmate customers using EXTRA! Personal Client, Attachmate's universal information access solution, can add KEA! 700/98 for $150 US per license.
