and again on April 8, 1998 at 1:30 P.M. PDT. Both events will be broadcast live across the Internet, enabling attendees worldwide to participate without the expense or inconvenience of travel.

IT's ongoing challenges. IT has been under increasing pressure to provide more users with access to mission-critical host data. Some new users are experienced with the host interface and need access from remote locations. Other new users aren't familiar with host applications and don't want to be. Either way, IT has to respond to the need, maintain the security and integrity of the host data, and operate within a finite finite - compact  budget. Doug Strohm, vice president strategic communications at Attachmate, will address these issues and discuss solutions for controlling who gets into the host, what they see when they get there, and how they stay current.

Advanced multimedia technology. Attachmate has implemented advanced, Internet broadcast technology which allows attendees to participate in the audio and video event with only a browser browser

Software that allows a computer user to find and view information on the Internet. The first text-based browser for the World Wide Web became available in 1991; Web use expanded rapidly after the release in 1993 of a browser called Mosaic, which used
running RealPlayer(tm) 5.0. These events are free; attendees need only register online at www.attachmate.com/webcast/marwebreg.html.
