Attachmate's Live Event To Use Innovative Internet Technologies to Showcase Web-to-Host Solutions.

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997--Attachmate(r) Corporation today announced that it will be hosting an interactive information dialogue with developers live on the Internet.

This event will take place in conjunction with the Microsoft(r) Professional Developers Conference (PDC) on Thursday, September 25. Attachmate will be sharing its technical expertise in the Web-to-host market with developers and conference attendees during this 30-minute dialogue entitled, "How to Build Successful Web-to-Host Solutions With Windows NT(r)."

This on-line event will cover a number of subjects including a segment on simplifying Web-to-host application development, problems solved with Web-to-host computing, what the future of distributed network computing may look like, and demonstrations of Attachmate's Web-to-host products EXTRA!(r) Objects, HostView Server and Host Publishing System.

Attachmate's interactive broadcast with developers will utilize netPodium(tm), the new live-event software from MetaBridge(r). netPodium runs on a Web server in conjunction with Microsoft NetShow(tm), and gives users the tools to assemble, deliver and archive a live interactive Web broadcast that uses NetShow streaming media for audio and video. Together these Internet technologies combine audio, video and presentation slides to allow all attendees to participate in a live and truly interactive event with Attachmate. This dialogue will allow the virtual attendees to pose questions to the Attachmate moderators during each section of the presentation and receive responses in real time.
