MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1995--Atrix International today reported that higher sales and significantly lower expenses contributed to first quarter net earnings 7% higher than those reported for the first quarter of fiscal 1995. Earnings for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1995 totaled $50,158, compared to $46,959 for the same period a year ago.

Sales of $1,468,433 for the first quarter of fiscal 1996 grew by 4% over the same period sales of $1,408,729 in fiscal 1995.

Selling, general and administrative expenses of $389,333 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1995 were 27% of sales. This represents a $46,696 improvement over fiscal first quarter 1995 selling, general and administrative expenses of $436,029 which were 31% of sales.
