Atria Software announces Oracle Corp. selects ClearCase; Oracle agrees to purchase $1.3 million of ClearCase software and services.

Further purchases of software and services under the plan could bring the total amount to more than $1.9 million, although Oracle has not committed to additional purchases. ClearCase was selected based on its scalability, support for open systems and major development platform availability.

Over 200 developers have been using ClearCase to manage multiple software releases and perform parallel software development in selected product groups at Oracle since November 1993. This new purchase plan would bring the total number of ClearCase users within Oracle to over 1,000.
