Atofina Debuts in U.S.
Last month, Elf elf, in Germanic mythology, a type of fairy. Usually represented as tiny people, elves are said to dwell in forests, in the sea, and in the air. Although they can be friendly to man, they are more frequently vengeful and mischievous. Atochem North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. Inc. in Philadelphia took the new name Atofina Chemicals, Inc. At the same time, Fina Oil & Chemical Co. was renamed Atofina Petrochemicals, Inc. It is moving its headquarters from Dallas to Houston. Both are part of Atofina, based in Paris, which resulted from the merger of two French oil and chemical companies, TotalFina and Elf Aquitaine Elf Aquitaine was a French oil company which merged with TotalFina to form TotalFinaElf. The new company changed its name to Total in 2003 . Elf has been maintained as a major brand of Total. .
