Atna Resources Ltd. -- Summer Drill Program Update.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 1999--

Atna Resources Ltd. reports that the Phase 2 drill program at the San Antonio property is complete and that drilling is continuing on both the Dry Creek and Caribou Dome properties.

Core samples from the six-hole drill program on the San Antonio volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) property, located in the Dominican Republic, have been shipped to Vancouver for assay; results are expected in two weeks. Atna is earning a 60% interest in from Energold Mining Ltd..

The 10,000 foot drill program on the Dry Creek (VMS) property in Alaska will be completed in early September, drill hole results will be released after all assays have been received and compiled. Atna is earning a 51% interest in the Dry Creek and Anderson Mountain properties from Grayd Resource Corporation.

Drilling has commenced on the Caribou Dome property also located in Alaska. The property hosts stratiform copper mineralization that is a geological setting similar to that of the historic high-grade Kennecott deposit along strike to the southeast. Results will be released upon completion of the program. Atna is earning a 100% interest in the property.
