Atmos Energy Corporation Names Tom S. Hawkins, 48, had been president of Atmos Energy's Texas Division based in Lubbock since October 2000. The company said his replacement in Texas will be named soon. Hawkins joined Atmos Energy as vice president of planning and budgeting in 1997 following Atmos Energy's acquisition of United Cities Gas Company. At United Cities, he had been vice president of finance and planning. From 1978 to 1988, he had worked for Arthur Andersen & Co., where he had supervised audits and financial consulting engagements. He has served as treasurer and a member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. He also has been audit committee chairman, campaign vice chair and a board member of the Lubbock United Way and a director of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Texas Tech Lifelong Learning Community Advisory Board and the Center for Global Culture.
