On multiple fronts, Atlassian has beaten traditional enterprise software vendors by offering: * "Lightweight" software - easy to evaluate and configure * Transparency in all areas - pricing, licensing, issues and bugs * Strong customer focus - "Legendary" customer support * Affordability - software for any size organisation On his blog, Cannon-Brookes writes, "We didn't think we stood a chance against the other category winners ... the Young category winner has never won the overall award. Hence our utter and complete surprise when the announcement was made." During the awards ceremony, Farquhar said, "On behalf of Mike and myself I want to thank our staff. We have almost 70 staff around the world now in three different locations. And they've done a great job. We wouldn't be here without them."
