Atlas Van Lines Continues Climb to Record Revenue Levels; Consistent Growth Maintains Standing as Second Largest National Van Line.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Atlas World Group Chairman and CEO Mike Shaffer reports that the company's largest subsidiary, Atlas Van Lines, Inc., posted record earnings in 2004, maintaining its position as the nation's second largest van line. Sales figures released today for 2004 show an increase of 12 percent or $75 million over 2003. Atlas also re-released sales figures for 2002 and 2003 following a change in reporting method.

"Our strategic marketing and branding efforts and ongoing dedication to customer service during the past several years have clearly paid off when we look at the financial results," Shaffer said. "We're continuing to post record revenue in a fiercely competitive marketplace, and are still on a growth curve following an industry-wide economic downturn several years ago."
