Atlas Pipeline Partners L.P. (AMEX:APL) (the "Partnership") announces that the Managing Board of Directors of its General Partner has authorized a special meeting of the unitholders of Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. to be held on February 11, 2004. Only those unitholders of record at the close of business on Monday, January 12, 2004 will be entitled to vote. Materials pertinent to the meeting will be mailed on January 13, 2004.

Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. owns and operates more than 1,380 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines in western Pennsylvania, western New York and eastern Ohio.
