Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. Announces Appointment of New CFO.PHILADELPHIA -- Atlas Pipeline Partners L.P. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :APL) (the "Partnership") announces today the appointment of Matthew A. Jones, CFA (Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986) Signed into law in 1986, the CFA was a significant step forward in criminalizing unauthorized access to computer systems and networks. The Act applies to "federal interest computers" that include any system used by the U.S. as Chief Financial Officer of its general partner. For the last nine years, Mr. Jones has been with Friedman Billings Ramsey's (FBR) Investment Banking Group, the last six of which he spent in their Energy Investment Banking Group, most recently as Managing Director. Previous to FBR, Mr. Jones held positions with Nationsbank and its predecessors for twelve years in the Commercial and Real Estate Finance division. Western New York refers to the westernmost region of New York State. and eastern Ohio to which more than 4,250 wells are currently connected. APL currently gathers approximately 53 million cubic feet ("mmcf") of gas per day from these wells. In the mid-continent region of southern Oklahoma and northern Texas, APL owns and operates approximately 1,900 miles of gas gathering pipeline. APL currently gathers approximately 66 mmcf of gas per day to its gas processing facility in Velma, Oklahoma where natural gas liquids (NGL NGL - A dialect of IGL. ) are removed. APL then sells the resulting gas and NGL and remits a portion of those proceeds to the producer. In both Appalachia and the mid-continent, the fees paid to APL are either a percentage of the gross selling price of the gas or NGL or a fixed fee per mcf transported. Atlas America, Inc.
