) reports that it should receive net revenues of approximately $125,000 from logging efforts this year.

Atlas timber manager, Randy Mattson, owner of Northwest Cat and Line, reported that he had contracted to sell logs to a mill in St. Regis, Montana St. Regis is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mineral County, Montana, United States. The population was 315 at the 2000 census. Geography

, which will bring net revenues after all logging and hauling costs to the company of $145 per thousand board feet. Mattson further reported that the area being logged holds approximately 900,000 board feet. Atlas management is pleased to take advantage of the current high prices in the lumber market.

William T. Jacobson, President of Atlas, explained that, "The lumber market has been strong so far in 2002, due to the demand in the building industry and a decrease of Canadian lumber into the States. This sale is another step toward our goal of becoming 'a total resource company.' "

Atlas controls approximately 1,000 acres in northern Idaho, containing approximately 2 million board feet of timber, and is in negotiations to acquire additional properties in the area. The company, through its timber manager, works with state and federal agencies to insure it is managing its resources properly. In June of 2002, Atlas reseeded harvested land with over 5,000 seedlings on its property above the Atlas Mine in Shoshone County, Idaho Shoshone County is a county located in the U.S. state of Idaho. The county was established in 1864. It was named for the Indian tribe. As of the 2000 Census the county had a population of 13,771 (2005 estimate: 13,157) [1]. The county seat is Wallace6. .
