Atlas Material Testing offers courses on weathering and instruments.

Atlas Material Testing Technology, LLC, Chicago, IL, will be offering a series of professional courses on the subject of weathering and its Weather-Ometer[R] testing instruments this summer and fall.

The weathering courses consist of two separate classes: "Fundamentals of Weathering I" and "Fundamentals of Weathering II." Fundamentals of Weathering I introduces the basics of both natural and accelerated weathering to those involved in designing, evaluating, specifying, selling, or purchasing materials or products that could be affected by exposure to light or weather. Fundamentals of Weathering II is an advanced seminar for those who want to increase their knowledge of how various weather and climatic factors can affect materials, and how to test the resistance of a formulation or product to these factors. Fundamentals of Weathering I will be offered on October 12 and Fundamentals of Weathering II will be held on October 13. Both will be located in Miami, FL. The fee for each course is $195. A 10% discount is provided on each class for those who attend both courses.

The Weather-Ometer workshops will focus on the operation, calibration, and maintenance of Atlas' Ci35 Series, Ci65 Series, Ci4000, and Ci5000 Weather-Ometer testing instruments. All of them will be held in Miami. The "Ci4000/Ci5000 Weather-Ometer Workshop" will be held on October 9. The registration fee is $550. The "Ci35 Series/Ci65 Series Weather-Ometer Workshop" will take place October 10-11. The fee for this course is $925. On October 13, the "Advanced Ci35 Series/Ci65 Series Weather-Ometer Workshop" is scheduled. For this course, the fee is $550.

For all courses, advanced registration is required. The course fees include materials, continental breakfast, refreshments, and lunch.
