The acquisitions are the first two for Atlas Capital Group principals Jeffrey A. Goldberger and Andrew B. Cohen cohen

, who formed the private investment firm earlier this year and indicated that they would invest primarily in large properties in major cities--with London and New York City targeted initially.

The Cannon Bridge House property was acquired for 206 million [pounds sterling] (approximately $385 million) from the Fordgate Group. The Meyberry House property was acquired for $100 million from M&R Management, a New York-based property owner-manager.

Cannon Bridge House is one of London's landmark office properties, constructed directly above Cannon Street Station Cannon Street is a National Rail and London Underground station complex in the City of London, the financial district of London in England. It is built on the site of the medieval Steelyard, the trading base in England of the Hanseatic League. It is in Travelcard Zone 1.  with panoramic views across the River Thames.

Located within the financial core of the city, the property consists of two inter-connecting office buildings known as the Atrium and the River Buildings, which offer 283,485 s/f of rentable space.

Located on New York's prestigious Upper East Side, the Meyberry House boasts 193 residential apartments, 11 professional/medical suites and a 93-car public garage.

Based in New York City, Atlas Capital Group LLC was formed in March, 2006 by investment gurus, Jeffrey A. Goldberger and Andrew B. Cohen. The firm seeks to make commercial property investments in major cities in the U.S. and abroad. The partners launched the firm after investing UBS AG's capital on a principal basis in real estate.
