Atlas Copco Agrees to Acquire Aggreko's European Compressor Rental Business.


STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Regulatory News:

Atlas Copco Atlas Copco is a Swedish industrial company that was founded in 1873. It manufactures industrial tooling and equipment.

The Atlas Copco Group, founded already in 1873, is a global industrial group of companies headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
 (STO:ATCOA) (STO:ATCOB) has agreed to acquire the European oil-free air compressor compressor, machine that decreases the volume of air or other gas by the application of pressure. Compressor types range from the simple hand pump and the piston-equipped compressor used to inflate tires to machines that use a rotating, bladed element to achieve  rental business of Aggreko plc, expanding the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental division. The total purchase price is MEUR MEUR Million Euros  14.6 (MSEK MSEK Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein (New York law firm)

The acquired business generates annual revenues of about MEUR 9 and has 25 employees. The deal includes about 200 compressors and dryers, which will be integrated into Atlas Atlas, in Greek mythology

"The acquisition supports the growth of Specialty Rental's core business, rental of oil-free air equipment."

The deal will close today, with the exception of operations in countries subject to anti-trust approval.

The buyers of the fleet assets are various Atlas Copco companies in Europe. The seller, UK-based Aggreko plc, is a global leader in the rental of power generation and temperature control systems.
