Atlas Air to Begin Trading on the New York Stock Exchange.GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 1997--Atlas Air, Inc. announced today that its stock has been approved for listing on the New York Stock Exchange New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) World's largest marketplace for securities. The exchange began as an informal meeting of 24 men in 1792 on what is now Wall Street in New York City. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange ). The company expects to begin trading on November 11, 1997. Until that time, Atlas will continue trading on NASDAQ NASDAQ in full National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations U.S. market for over-the-counter securities. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on under the symbol "ATLS ATLS Advanced Trauma Life Support ATLS Aerial Target Launch Ship ." The common stock of Atlas Air will trade under the symbol CGO.
