Atlas Air Donates Second Relief Flight to Aid Earthquake Victims.

Atlas Air, Inc. (NYSE:CGO) will donate an all-cargo flight to deliver relief supplies to aid earthquake victims in India and Pakistan.

It is the second flight this month the company has made available to assist with this effort. The 747-200 flight from Los Angeles to New Delhi will carry 113,000 lbs. of supplies.

"The devastation caused by this natural disaster in India and Pakistan will impact the lives of many people for years," said Rick Shuyler, CEO of Atlas Air, Inc. "The employees of Atlas Air are pleased to be in a position to be able to assist with critically needed supplies to help people through this difficult time."

Operation USA, a Los Angeles based international relief agency, in cooperation with agencies across the U.S. has collected the supplies being transported. "This is the largest relief ever conducted in the history of our organization to India and the response to our appeal for assistance has been gratifying," said Richard Walden, President of Operation USA.

The cargo includes medical supplies, plastic sheeting, water purification chemicals, blankets and miscellaneous items such as flashlights and batteries, coloring books and crayons for children confined to relief camps. Originating in Los Angeles at noon pacific time today, the flight will make a stop in Shannon, Ireland where it will pick up the water purification supplies before continuing on to New Delhi.

Atlas Air has focused its philanthropic activities on providing its planes and personnel to transport critical materials to areas devastated by natural disasters. This is the eighth relief flight the company has donated in the past seven years. "We believe that this is the way that Atlas Air can be most helpful.
