Atlantic Tele-Network Selected for the Russell 3000 Index; One Year Membership Expected to Begin on June 30, 2006.

SALEM, Mass. -- Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATNI) today announced it has been selected for inclusion in the Russell 3000(R) Index when the Russell Investment Group reconstitutes its family of U.S. Indexes on June 30, 2006. Russell published today a preliminary list of additions and deletions to its index on www.russell.com.

According to Russell, membership in the Russell 3000 means that Atlantic Tele-Network will also be included in the small-cap Russell 2000(R) Index, as well as the appropriate growth and style indexes. Russell notes that it determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market capitalization rankings and style attributes with membership remaining in place for one year. Russell expects to announce its final membership list on July 3, 2006.

According to Russell, the annual reconstitution of Russell indexes captures the 3,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization to create the Russell 3000.
