In early 1997, ASA announced an order for 30 CRJ-200 aircraft with options for an additional 60 CRJ aircraft. With the latest agreements, ASA's firm orders stand at 45 CRJ-200 aircraft, of which 14 have been delivered, and 12 CRJ-700 aircraft, along with options to acquire an additional 53 Canadair Regional Jet aircraft.
