Atlantic Research Corporation Receives Governor's Environmental Excellence Award.

The Governor praised the winners as "outstanding corporate citizens that are addressing environmental concerns responsibly by implementing pollution prevention efforts and promoting environmental stewardship The integration and application of environmental values into the military mission in order to sustain readiness, improve quality of life, strengthen civil relations, and preserve valuable natural resources. ." The awards program is facilitated by the Virginia Manufacturers Association, and is endorsed by the Office of the Governor and the Department of Environmental Quality.

The first place award recognizes ARC for successfully implementing a comprehensive, sustained program of waste minimization at its Gainesville facility.
