Rodgers will manage all communications, marketing and advertising activities as well as lead fundraising efforts for the school and Foundation Board. Rodgers, a 14-year communications professional, most recently served as the director of public relations at Atlanta Public Schools Atlanta Public Schools is a school district based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. APS is run by the Atlanta Board of Education with superintendent Dr. Beverly L. Hall. Currently, the system has an active enrollment of 57,000 students, attending a total of 85 schools: 59 elementary . Earlier, she served as press secretary for Vice President Al Gore, community relations manager with Coca-Cola Enterprises and special events officer with Atlanta mayor's office. Rodgers holds a bachelor's degree in mass media arts from Clark Atlanta University Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a prestigious, private institution of higher education in Atlanta, Georgia. It is an historically black university formed in 1988 by the consolidation of Clark College (est. 1869) and Atlanta University (est. 1865). and master's degree from Georgia State University.
