Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel Prepares to Launch Dramatic $5.5 Million Reconstruction and Refurbishment of the Entire Exhibit Level.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel announced plans for a $5.5 million enhancement of the entire Exhibit Level also referred to as the International Hall. According to Gary Hughes, director of marketing at the 1,675-room hotel, "the most appealing part of the ambitious project is that it will provide additional flexibility in the way we utilize our current exhibit space enabling us to quickly convert this space from exhibit space to class "A" meeting space and break out rooms. Similarly, this reconstruction will actually add 7,000 square-feet of contiguous meeting space, creating a new "junior ballroom" without actually adding onto the current structure." Every inch of the 37,000 square-foot exhibit area will receive new carpet, lighting, ceiling treatments and state-of-the-art room dividers.

Under the new plan, the number of break out rooms will increase to 13, up from eight in the previous design. Important architectural details are also planned for the ceiling including an additional foot in height providing a more spacious and free flowing spirit to the room. Rounding out the impressive list of improvements the current North Hall will gain three solid walled, permanent meeting rooms, decorative wood wall treatments and high tech lighting that will enhance the overall feel and ambiance of the reconfigured space. The new facility will be renamed the "International Level" reflecting the greater use and quality of the space.
