Atlanta's 17.20 Records Label Takes a Bold Leap into the World of Country; Country Music Standout Newcomer Rissi Palmer Joins Atlanta's 17.20 Records.

ATLANTA -- 17.20 Records has signed country music's most exciting new artist, 24 year old St. Louis native, Rissi Palmer, announced Terry K. Johnson, President/CEO of 17.20 Records.

An accomplished singer and songwriter, Rissi penned the song, "Faith," which appeared on the 2004 Lee Daniels/Miramax film, "The Woodsman." That same year, Rissi appeared in the CMT (Country Music Television) award winning documentary, "Waiting in the Wings."

Rissi garnered national attention when she appeared as a finalist on the CBS primetime show, Star Search. Millions of viewers tuned in and witnessed as country music royalty Naomi Judd awarded Rissi the coveted Five Star performance rating and said, "There are only two kinds of music, good and bad, and Rissi is GOOD."

Slated for a 2006 spring release, Rissi's upcoming debut is an exciting array of contemporary country music, backed by a Grammy award winning production team. Already on board, as executive producer, is one of music's most talented hitmakers, Cory Rooney (Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Marc Anthony). Also joining the team, one of Nashville's most successful producers, Keith Thomas (Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, Amy Grant) and the celebrated producing duo, Shannon & Drew (Lyle Lovett, India Arie).
