Athletics In Brief: Christie: Past won't stop me.


ATHLETICS: Former Olympic 100metres champion Linford Christie insists a past drugs suspension should not hinder his opportunity to work as a mentor with leading British athletes.

Christie was banned seven years ago two years for a nandrolone nandrolone /nan·dro·lone/ (nan´dro-lon) an anabolic steroid with lesser androgenic effects; used as n. decanoate and n.  offence by the IAAF IAAF

"It shows first of all that they think I'm innocent, that they've got faith in me and it's not really about all that.

"It's about the fact of whether I can deliver and they believe I can," he said.
