THE IRISH eyes Irish Eyes is the fifth of the Nuala Anne McGrail series of mystery novels by Roman Catholic priest and author Father Andrew M. Greeley.  of Olympic 5,000 metres silver medallist Sonia O'Sullivan Sonia O'Sullivan (born November 28, 1969) is an Irish runner from Cobh, County Cork.

She was one of the leading female 5000 m runners for most of the 1990s and early 2000s. Her crowning achievement was a Gold medal at the 1995 World Athletics Championships.
 shone with pride after she returned to international action with a superb third place in yesterday's Entenmann's Great Manchester Run.

O'Sullivanand Charlotte Dale --Kent's Europeanjunior cross country champion - both ran positively against tough overseas opposition headed by Berhane Adere and Derartu Tulu.

As anticipated, the twoEthiopians took the major honours,Adere decisively sprinting for home in the final 200 metres and opening up a three- second gap to defeat the double Olympic 10,000 metres gold medalist in 31 minutes 50 seconds.
