Athletics: Herbert looks the right bet.Byline: Conrad Fenton Placenames Fenton is the name of the following places: England
STAN JAMES look to have underestimated Llewellyn Herbert's chances of coming second in the men's 400m hurdles at tonight's Paris Golden League meeting, writes Conrad Fenton. The firm have omitted the Dominican Republic's Felix Sanchez from the betting on the race in order to keep it competitive. Sanchez is a class apart from the field (he clocked a season-fastest 47.80 in Lausanne on Tuesday) and the rest are realistically only racing for second place. Stan James make Chris Rawlinson Chris Rawlinson (born: May 19, 1972 in Rotherham, England) is an all-round athlete who has made his name as a 400 m hurdler. After trying the pole vault, decathlon and 110 m hurdles in his early career Chris has found the gruelling 400 m hurdles to be his of Scotland 5-4 favourite of their four quoted runners. His season's best is a shade under three tenths of a second better than Herbert. However, the South African has the third fastest time of the Saint-Denis field this season, and certainly doesn't deserve such a dismissive dis·mis·sive adj. 1. Serving to dismiss. 2. Showing indifference or disregard: a dismissive shrug. Adj. 1. quote as 8-1. Recommendation L Herbert 1pt 8-1 (Stan James) |
